Because of you…

Because of you, I am an independent person and I am confident.

Because of you, I am kind, thoughtful, and respectful to others.

Because of you, I am intelligent and work hard at everything I do.

Because of you, I make mistakes and learn from those mistakes.

Because of you, I take risks and I achieve success.

Because of you, I am strong and selfless.

Because of you, I am able to love and have relationships with others.

Because of you, I am happy and I enjoy my life to the fullest.

Because of you, I am a dependent person who is not confident.

Because of you, I am not kind and disrespectful to others.

Because of you, I barely made it through school. I am lazy and I do not try my best. Sometimes I give up.

Because of you, I never learn from my mistakes and I continue to do the same thing over and over again.

Because of you, I barely get by with each day; it is usually a struggle.

Because of you, I am a selfish person and I am weak.

Because of you, I am unable to love and it is difficult to make and keep relationships.

Because of you, I am not a happy person. In fact, I am angry and do not enjoy my life.

Which group of statements do you want your child to say when they grow up?

These are very powerful, aren’t they? They are can also be your child’s reality depending on what your child will learn from you, how they will live, and how they will grow up.

Would you and have you tried everything you can to make sure most of the first set of statements are or will be a possibility?

Let’s think about it…any stories or comments? I would love to hear from you. 🙂
